To play a blues you need to learn the follwoing

1) Playing just one note at the time

2) Bending the notes so you can play the "blue notes)

3 ) Suck instead of blow

4) Improvise

5) Play rythmically

6) know the basic 12-bar blues progression by heart

7) Use the Wha-wha-teknique
